“Interview Questions” is a hot topic on many Oracle forums. Job aspirants want these questions to be listed down, emailed to them, complete with model answers. Some imagine that by learning answers to such questions, they will land a job, though they have not really worked at finding the meaning or rationale behind the answers.

I am utterly bemused.

Are there real, flesh-and-blood interviewers out there, who ask magic questions out of such lists and are impressed with answers spelt out by rote? Not that I know of. For a smart interviewer, it is laughably easy to see through fake knowledge, and you harm your prospects of getting a job if you parrot out answers to interview questions that you don’t understand.

So How Should I Prepare For The Interview?
